Expectations & Requirements You can expect professional, talented, and enthusiastic face painting artists at your event.

Artist Requirements

Artists will arrive on time and be ready to start at your scheduled booking time.
Clients must provide shelter from sun, rain, wind, and extreme temperatures.
Artists will not work if conditions are unsafe or may cause property damage.
Adequate lighting must be provided or requested in advance; a nearby power supply is required.
Recommended working space: 2x2m per artist (minimum 1.5×1.5m), not including waiting space.
For larger or public events:
- Retractable barrier system for single-line feed and safe working space.
- A line manager can be employed to assist in keeping the line moving.
- A heavy-duty white 3-walled marquee is recommended; 3x3m for 2 artists, 3x6m suitable for 4 artists.
- Shade and seating for parents/children in line is recommended.
- Line manager recommended for large public events.
- Security required for evening events serving alcohol.

Age & Safety Policy

No face painting for children under 3 years (products are not tested for this age).
Children may be painted on arm/hand at artist discretion with parental/guardian consent.
Artists will not paint distressed or unwilling children.
Artists reserve the right to refuse painting any design, body part, or wording deemed inappropriate or offensive.
For sanitary reasons, artists will not paint anyone with unclean skin, illness, cold sores, conjunctivitis, infectious diseases, skin conditions, head lice, or open wounds.
Artist discretion is final regarding whom and what may be painted.

Artist Credentials

All artists are cleared for Working with Children.
Artists use reasonable care but are not responsible for clothing or property damage.
Artists maintain current public liability insurance; certificates available upon request.

Event Contingencies

If an artist cannot attend due to illness or critical personal circumstances, no payment is required, and a replacement may be arranged with your approval.
If severe weather (e.g., thunderstorm warnings, fire threats, travel advisories) prevents attendance, the remaining balance is payable

Client Responsibility

Artists are not responsible for supervising children during the event.
Supervision remains the responsibility of parents or guardians.
